QUERTIER DE MONTAGNE

BECOME A MOUNTAINEER

There's a mountain of fun awaiting Via Sauvagia residents. Imagine being a co-owner of a private ski resort with access to more than seven kilometres of recreational paths in your own back yard!

LIFE AT VIA SAUVAGIA

Ski-in, ski-out anytime / The former Mont Sauvage ski resort will gradually be restored for the exclusive use of Via Sauvagia residents. The first trails are slated to open in the winter of 2012-2013. When work on the resort is completed, there will be seven downhill ski and snowboard trails, including three groomed trails and four glade trails for powder fans. With 22 acres of skiable terrain, the slopes benefit from a 171-metre (561-foot) drop. Thanks to a tapering incline, there are trails for all levels of skiers and boarders. The trails will be served by two lifts. A T-bar lift that goes to the summit and, for younger skiers, a cable-pull lift that stops mid-mountain.

Recreational trails / Each home is directly linked to the seven-kilometre network of four-season nature trails which crisscross the property. These paths are dedicated to cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and walking in the winter, and to cycling, jogging and hiking in the summer.

Nature-watching / Lookouts, a panoramic walkway, community pavilion and a star-gazing spot can be found at the summit of Mont Sauvage. At the base of the mountain lie a park, a nature observation area, and a path leading to the lookouts. A genuinely natural playground!
